Students from NGHS's biomedical sciences program had the opportunity to participate in a community outreach opportunity. Students traveled to the Morgridge Academy a National Jewish to assist 6-8th grade students in their first PBL. NGHS students taught the Morgridge Academy students the anatomy of the hand, using the Anatomy in Clay Learning Systems hands models. They provided assistance in the design of a prosthetic hand using anatomy and physics concepts. On October 22nd, students from the Morgridge Academy traveled to NGHS to present their PBL in front of the authentic panel made up of the same NGHS students. It was a great event and rewarding for both schools.
